Choosing To Move

Do you remember the last time you thought about moving? After living in our home for about three years, I realized that we wanted to get out into the world and see some other places, so we listed our place for sale. Making the decision to move was nerve-wracking but incredibly exciting, and I was really happy that we were able to make the choice to move. After we sold our place and relocated, it was incredible to experience new places, new things, and adventures that I had never dreamed of. Check out this blog for great reasons to move.

When Do You Need to Use a Storage Facility?

by Courtney Thompson

Everyone has faced moments in life when they ran out of space to store their belongings. Whether it's due to downsizing, moving, or simply accumulating too much stuff over the years, the need for extra storage space can arise unexpectedly. In these situations, a storage facility can be a lifesaver.

Moving to a New Home

One of the most common reasons people turn to storage facilities is when they are moving to a new home. Whether you are downsizing and need temporary storage for excess furniture and belongings or facing delays in your moving timeline, a storage facility can provide you with the extra space you need. By storing your belongings in a secure facility, you can rest assured that they are safeguarded and readily available when you're ready to transition them to your new home.

Renovating Your Current Home

Home renovations often require clearing out rooms and creating space for contractors to work efficiently. Instead of cluttering other areas of your home with furniture and personal items, consider renting a storage unit during renovation. This will make the renovation easier and protect your belongings from damage caused by construction work. Once the renovations are complete, you can easily move everything back into your refreshed space.

Seasonal Storage Needs

As the seasons change, so do your storage needs. Items like holiday decorations, seasonal clothing, sports equipment, and gardening tools may only be used during certain times of the year but take up valuable space in your home when not in use. A storage facility can provide a convenient solution for storing these seasonal items until they are needed again. By rotating items in and out of storage throughout the year, you can keep your home organized and clutter-free.

Downsizing or Decluttering

Are you downsizing your living space or simply looking to declutter and simplify your life? A storage facility can help you manage excess belongings without parting with them permanently. By renting a storage unit, you can store items that hold sentimental value or that you may want to use again in the future without crowding your living space. This flexibility allows you to make decisions about what to keep and what to let go at your own pace.

Temporary Life Transitions

Life is full of unexpected changes, such as job relocations, divorce, or family emergencies that may require temporary changes in living arrangements. During these transitional periods, having access to a storage unit can provide stability by allowing you to store belongings that cannot come with you immediately but that you still want to keep for future use. Knowing that your possessions are safe and secure while navigating life's transitions can offer peace of mind during uncertain times.
